04/09/2009   Two new Individual dental plans from Regence Life and Health

Regence Life and Health is excited to introduce two innovative dental products: Individual Dollar–Based Dental and Individual Incentive Dental. Freedom to make choices and rewarding individuals for taking care of themselves is the inspiration behind our two new dental plans.

These plans are available for new applicants for effective dates of May 1, 2009, and after.

Individual Dollar–Based Dental puts the member in control of their dental health dollars. The plan is dollar–based—a unique departure from traditional procedure–based coverage. Imagine individuals being able to spend benefit dollars almost any way they choose on care that's important to them and their family. Each year that they get an exam and cleaning, they are rewarded with a benefit increase the following year—doubling their dollar maximum on the fourth year.

Individual Incentive Dental offers immediate access to quality, affordable dental care. The plan is procedure–based, but unlike traditional dental plans, individuals are rewarded for receiving routine preventive care. Each year that an individual visits the dentist for a check–up and cleaning means greater benefits and fewer out–of–pocket expenses the next year.

Both Individual Dollar–Based Dental and Individual Incentive Dental offer the following:

  • Increasing benefits with an annual preventive cleaning and exam
  • Extensive provider network for hold–harmless billing
  • The ability to choose any dental provider for covered services
  • Choice of effective date beginning the 1st or 15th of the month after applying
  • Availability to pay using check, EFT or credit card
  • 15% commission first year, and 5% afterwards
You must be appointed with Regence Life and Health to receive commission on these dental plans. To request an appointment with Regence Life and Health please contact Lisa Snyder at lsnyder@regence.com or 206–389–6692. A $20.00 appointment fee is required for first year appointment with Regence Life and Health. Appointment fees should be mailed to PO Box 1271, M/S C3C Portland, OR 97207–1271." Please note "RLH Appointment Fee" on the check memo line. Please allow a minimum of three weeks processing time for your appointment request. Once you are appointed your clients may select you or your agency name from a drop–down menu on www.regencelife.com when they are applying for coverage. Of course, you may also have them fill out a paper application as well.

There will be several opportunities to attend webinars to learn more about these new plans. Please RSVP no later than Apr. 13 to ensure availability.
