Regence in the news
We appreciate your patience and service to Regence members covered by the Uniform Medical Plan, (UMP); particularly those members who have coverage through both Medicare as primary and UMP as secondary. Regence membership includes roughly 38,000 such members for whom we have had particular difficulty in providing timely payment for service. We care about the satisfaction of all of our members and each of our providers and we apologize for our failure to provide prompt payment and any inconvenience we have caused. We are fully committed to bringing all payments to current timeliness of payment standards and we have informed the Health Care Authority, (HCA) and the UMP of our timeline to become current.
We have prioritized paying the oldest claims first and we are committed to achieving our stated goal of reduction in inventory to standard levels and processing claims payment for ALL claims within our standard guidelines by the end of November, 2011.
We thank you for your continued patience with our administrative processes as we convert to a new system, and we appreciate that you have continued to provide excellent care to our members.
