Women’s wellness promoted for Boeing
members
Regence BlueShield is partnering with Boeing to promote
women’s heath and wellness for our members though
education and support of preventative screening exams
and early prenatal care. These screenings are
recommended by the U.S. preventative Services Task
Force (USPSTF).
Prenatal
Exams
Regence BlueShield promotes women’s health and
wellness and supports the Obstetric and Gynecologic
Condition recommendations created by the U.S. Preventive
Services Task Force (USPSTF). Regence is partnering
with Boeing to encourage early prenatal care for their
employees and dependents throughout 2009.
Boeing members covered by Regence will receive reminders
to make an appointment with their physician or midwife
for early prenatal care, which is covered under their
Regence health care benefit plan.
Regular checkups are the best way to monitor both the
mother’s health and the baby’s development.
Prenatal care is a covered benefit for Boeing members.

The Best
Doctors Second
Opinion Program, part of The Boeing
Company's Well Being portfolio of resources designed
to help Boeing employees manage their health and
financial well being, is now available to Boeing
employees and their family members enrolled in a
Boeing health plan.
Best
Doctors is an authoritative, independent medical
resource that uses expert "best-in-their-field" physicians
to review a patient's case to advise whether a diagnosis
is correct and to help the patient make informed
decisions regarding treatment options.
A Boeing employee or covered family member
who is facing a new and difficult medical diagnosis
can make a phone call to initiate the process. All
communication is done via phone, email and fax. A doctor's
visit is not necessary. The program is a voluntary
and confidential service.
