Claims processing enhancement
As of January 2001, claim submission is no longer
limited to eight line items per claim. In fact, we can
accept 24 line items per claim. This enhancement will
also be reflected in your vouchers, making it easier
for you to work with them. However, claims submitted
for members covered under the Federal Employee Program
(FEP) are limited to a maximum of eight lines.
Unfortunately, at this time, estimates are still limited
to eight line items per claim. Also, all dental services
for members covered under FEP are paid to the Schedule
of Dental Allowances listed in the Blue Cross and Blue
Shield Service Benefit Plan brochure. FEP does not provide
estimates.
