Voucher message codes

You can contact your dental professional relations representative to receive an updated list of the payment message codes indicated on the vouchers for participating dental providers.

FEP clarification

In the December 2000 issue of Dental Provisions, the article titled "New claims payment process" explained how claims received on and after July 1, 2000, are subject to new rules created by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner. That article stated that Regence BlueShield would pay interest on payable clean claims that have not completed processing in less than 61 days from receipt. The Federal Employee Program (FEP) is under the jurisdiction of the federal government, and federal law supercedes state law. As a result, these new rules do not apply to the FEP.
